The Restorative Justice Speaker Series, brought to you by the North Shore Restorative Justice Society and Capilano University, has explored themes like Indigenous perspectives on justice, conflict and youth, and why restorative justice works better than a punitive criminal “justice” system.
Supported by Justice Canada, on May 14 at the North Vancouver City Library we’ll hear from Nermin Karim, Director of Programs at NSRJ, and Dr. Sarah Yercich Department Head of the Women’s and Gender Studies department at Capilano University, experts on restorative justice in the context of gendered and sexual harms. In this talk, we’ll explore these difficult themes and discuss the incredible possibilities of addressing gendered and sexual harms through restorative means.
