NSRJ’s Restorative Schools Program (RSP) provides and promotes restorative approaches to conflict and harm while proactively supporting youth, schools, and communities in developing just and equitable spaces for learning and living. We are now hiring for a full-time RSP Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating Circles in Schools and handling cases of school-based conflict as well as supporting other work of the Restorative Schools Program team.

NSRJ supports the long-term practice, sustainability, and development of restorative approaches. The Restorative Schools Program runs several initiatives, including the well-established Circles in Schools, the Youth Justice Lab, and Restorative Engagement in Schools (RES).  RES uses a variety of facilitation techniques that seek to respond to school-based conflict and harm by applying principles of restorative justice. The Restorative Schools Facilitator will work alongside the Program Manager and other Facilitators in the co-facilitation of circles, dialogue sessions, and targeted restorative response processes to address harm in schools across the North Shore. The Facilitator will also assist in raising awareness of restorative approaches in schools, and maintain relationships with teachers and students to support a system of integrated restorative skills, practices, and processes in our partner schools.
