Shawna brings extensive leadership experience in Human Resources across both the private and public sectors. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources with CPHR BC & Yukon, she currently serves as a Senior Advisor with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, where she has deepened her interest in alternative dispute resolution and restorative justice. She holds a degree in Psychology and Sociology from McGill University and a Certificate in Labour Relations from Queen’s University IRC, and has long been interested in human behaviour and collaborative, relationship-based approaches to conflict resolution. Shawna has served on several committees across the Lower Mainland and Northern BC, primarily in the education sector, providing strategic advice on inclusive practices, training development, risk management, and policy development and oversight. Having lived in North Vancouver for the past decade, she enjoys hiking all the great trails the North Shore has to offer and volunteering with her kids to give back to the community and foster connection.
