Miriam is a restorative justice practitioner with over seven years of experience facilitating dialogue, repairing harm, and building accountability in community-based settings. Before moving to BC, she coordinated restorative programs for incarcerated women and designed conflict-resolution workshops for youth in Edmonton. Her work is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practices and a deep commitment to centering the needs of those impacted by harm. She holds a BA in History, where her research focused on Indigenous history, community learning, and systemic inequities. When she’s not working, you might find her playing violin in local ensembles, experimenting with new recipes to share with friends, or getting lost in a good documentary.
NSRJ honours the Elders and Knowledge Holders, past, present and future, and acknowledges with gratitude that our work takes place in communities situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations.
