Lane is a white, disabled, queer person of Scottish and Irish Lineage, born and raised on unceded Tongva, Tataviam, and Chumash lands. For the last 12 years, Lane has been deeply engaged in the overlapping fields of restorative justice, transformative justice, and anti-violence on predominantly Lekwungen and WSANEC territories in Victoria.
Within the private, non-profit, and post-secondary sectors Lane has developed and overseen the implementation of many successful violence prevention/response initiatives, transformative justice projects, and JEDI education, policies, and programming.
In each role Lane has approached their leadership centering dignity, collaboration, integrity, and compassionate responsiveness. Among many things, Lane greatly values the principles and practical application of anti-oppressive frameworks, disability justice, and mutual aid. They are endlessly passionate about resourcing people to do their best work and nurturing possibilities for collective healing and repair.
