On February 19, join us for an exploration of Indigenous wisdom and learn how justice means healing and restoring balance in our communities. Beginning at 6pm.
The Restorative Justice Speaker Series aims to deepen public understanding of restorative justice as a transformative approach to conflict, harm, crime, and community-building by bringing together academics, justice and other professionals, and the broader public in meaningful dialogue.
To kick off the series, we’ll hear from Andrew Van Eden, Community Safety Manager for the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and former NSRJ board member, and Norm Leech, Executive Director of the Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, and a past-ED of the Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre (VACPC) for our first topic, Indigenous Teachings: Justice as Restoration.
