Every year, a group of passionate, community minded folks come together to raise funds for our police diversion and restorative justice in education programming. Over the past five years, dedicated runners, walkers and fundraisers have raised over $70,000 for participants. 

While COVID-19 has put a damper on in person meetings, you can still show your support by fundraising and running an individual race. We invite you to join Team NSRJ and help us reach our goal of $25,000Will you please join team NSRJ?

More than ever, you can help raise much-needed funds to match the increased demand for our services due to COVID-19. We are seeing an increased need for our services, from children, youth and adults across our North Shore community. 

HERE’S HOW YOU GET STARTED:

1) REGISTER FOR THE RACE USING THE UNIQUE NSRJ LINK HERE.

Make sure you select the appropriate distance (5k, 10k or half-marathon)

Under “Scotiabank Charity Challenge Team”, click I’d like to join an official Scotiabank Charity Challenge team. Select North Shore Restorative Justice Society from the drop-down list.

2) PERSONALIZE YOUR PAGE

Once you’ve registered, add a photo of yourself, choose a fundraising goal and add a short description letting your friends and family know why you’re running for the NSRJ. You can continue to edit this page once you’ve saved it by clicking ‘Edit Page’ on your Race Roster Dashboard. 

3) START FUNDRAISING AND SPREAD THE WORD!

Now’s the time to start sharing your fundraising page with family, friends, neighbours, colleagues anyone you can think of! COVID-19 has highlighted the value of community so this is the time to spread awareness. 

Share your progress on social media, send emails to friends and family members or plan a virtual event to meet your fundraising goals! 

4) IT’S TIME TO RUN OR WALK! 

You have between June 2nd and July 5th to run or walk your distance of choice. Make sure you record your run on your platform of choice (Garmin, Fitbit, Strava, Runkeeper etc) and share it on social media with #RunforNSRJ2021
