Travis originally connected with the restorative justice community while completing his Masters in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies. Beginning as a volunteer with the Circles in Schools and Restorative Response Program, he later transitioned into the roles of RRP Program Manager and Director-at-Large. He is thrilled to return to support the North Shore Restorative Justice Society (NSRJ) as the Restorative Response Program Coordinator. In addition to his capacities with NSRJ, Travis' professional and volunteer experience has spanned roles in Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention, Disability Management, Literacy Education, and Leadership and Conflict Resolution Training. As a practitioner, Travis aims to engage with humor, humility, and transparency - embracing the belief that "even when you fall on your face, you're still moving forward!"When not at work, Travis can often be found wandering in green spaces - or with his nose in a book and his head in the clouds.
NSRJ honours the Elders and Knowledge Holders, past, present and future, and acknowledges with gratitude that our work takes place in communities situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations.
