Vice-Chair, Restorative Justice in Education Advisory Committee Chair, Restorative Response Program Facilitator
Lindy has been learning from young people for more than 30 years, and has witnessed the transformations that occur when stories are shared. Her background is in education, and she has degrees in communications and psychology. Lindy and her family moved to the North Shore from South Africa in 1997. She is passionate about her community, the relationships that have been forged, and the human beings she crosses paths with every day.
Lindy found restorative justice as a volunteer, via a long and very winding road - and immediately felt as though she'd come home. Every day she wakes up, excited to see what the day will bring. She writes a bit, dances a lot, breathes deeply every now and then, and reminds herself to listen very carefully...because it's the untold stories that hold the most power and most need to be heard.
