Kelly (she/her) is passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed and able to be their best selves. She is happiest and most energized when facilitating programs with groups of youth and feels so grateful for the opportunity to continue this work as the Education Initiatives Coordinator.
She has been working in youth facilitation and education spaces for the past six years supporting youth with skill development, advocacy, program development and implementing passion projects. Her goal is to always create equitable learning spaces for all in both the content and the practice by striving to embed decolonial and anti-oppression practices into her facilitation.
Kelly strongly believes in the power of community and in her free time has been trying to implement community-based projects that bring people together and address systemic issues at the same time. She has just finished her Masters of Education for Sustainability and cares deeply about creating a socially and environmentally just world.
When she isn’t working alongside incredible youth, she is biking around the city, baking, reading or exploring the outdoors!
NSRJ honours the Elders and Knowledge Holders, past, present and future, and acknowledges with gratitude that our work takes place in communities situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations.
