After working for almost a decade in different capacities with youth counselling and mental health, Kaylie was first exposed to Restorative Justice as a community support to a youth in the circle process. Watching the process unfold, she found the experience deeply moving and was inspired by the possibilities for connection, healing and transformation.
Not long after, she became involved with the Alternatives to Violence Project and met a number of the grassroots organizers that created the local roots of the current Restorative community in BC. These connections led to a complete shift and diverted her career path.
Kaylie currently focuses her time and energy working to support the growth of a number of Restorative Justice based organizations. Outside of work, her passion lies in searching out new experiences with her partner and son, and exploring the wilds of North Vancouver.
NSRJ honours the Elders and Knowledge Holders, past, present and future, and acknowledges with gratitude that our work takes place in communities situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations.
